The potential of being hired (or not) sometimes depends on what people post on their Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn account, and what they post can affect their personal brand.

Worried about their careers and potential employers’ impression on them, some people have chosen to keep things private. To avoid this fear of losing a job opportunity, people just need to be aware of the mistakes to be avoided that will sabotage personal branding.

1. Overlooking what is being said about you on the internet, especially on social media. Showbiz celebrities and politicians Google themselves. Why don’t you? Check whether these comments are positive or negative and find out how you can improve them.
